Other Fanfic Works

No Dominion

A nice Ranma short-story showing a couple's relationship from beginning to end.  I essentially tried to be WAFFy, and didn't quite make it.  As for the reaction that came after I released it... well, I'd hate it if you felt nothing over this...

The Virus: Close Call

Chris' Jones work, "The Virus" , is such a lovely story universe, both hilarious and over-the-top.  It's a megacrossover without the encumberances that usually weigh down such monstrosities; in many cases, all that's needed is a small vignette to fit one story into the scheme of things.  I'd thought of this shortly after Chris released his work, but never got around to finishing it until recently.  The characters in question for this side-story, by the way, are from Maison Ikkoku, in case your interested.  And no, this one is NOT comedy.  I can find the worst-case scenario in even the brightest of moments...

A Day In The Life

Before we begin, be warned that this Chrono Trigger fanfic does not conform completely to what actually happens in the story.    I based this on my own playing experience with CT; there was this one moment which just left me totally shocked.  I found myself writing almost immediately, not thinking that things weren't as bad as they appeared.  When I released the fanfic, I felt that the emotional impact of the story would outweigh the fact that it didn't conform totally to the story.  After a few flames from some people, it would seem that my estimation was in error.

You know, it's kind of fun, in a way.  My works weren't anywhere near so notorious before the Iris Tales; now, it seems like I can't release anything without having a half-dozen people flame it.  I guess I should take that as a good sign...

Reflections

This Please Save My Earth fic is one of those that I'm not too sure about.  It certainly has its impact; problem was, it was written nearly two years ago (as of May 2002), and a lot has happened in my life since then.

Flesh and Blood

A sequel to "The Other Side of Life, below.  Jusenkyo's children are called; but why?  Only one part of a planned four, so far.

Little Boy

A Kenshin short, this one shows one of the Kenshin Gumi years later, in contemplation of Kenshin's contribution to society, and its ultimate result.

Way of the Cross

A Rurouni Kenshin piece, set in the middle of the OAVs.  If you haven't seen the OAVs, see those first, then come back here.  ^_^

Dea Ex Machina

This work was written as a side-story to Kaoru Shimitsu's excellent "Fragile Clay" series, focusing on Daisuke after his friendships with Ranma and Hiroshi encounter rough times.

The Other Side of Life

This is a work that largely got its inspiration from Iris. Some people who tended to be pro-Akane didn't like my portrayal of her in that story; it sorta inspired me to write a work where Akane does get Ranma, but on terms that could not be described as easy. Problem is, the story sorta took a couple of turns of its own...[LEMON WARNING!]

The Thin White Line

A Sailor Moon short, this one gives Usagi in a different light than most are used to.

Tokyo Blues

A short KOR work, this just gives a nice slice of Madoka's life.

Absolution

This Rurouni Kenshin short shows a simple moment of peace between Kenshin and Kaoru. Warning: is WAFF.

Borrowed Time

About two years after coming to Nerima, Shampoo is forced to make a decision. The results will forever change her life and those around her.

BGC/Ranma: The Circe Project

The Knight Sabers, with Mackie in tow, accept an assignment to raid a bioengineering lab in China. The Mt. Quanjing region of China, to be more precise... All eleven chapters are completed, after nearly two years of work.

Second Nature

A short Escaflowne work, this focuses on one of the characters largely neglected by the series end, and what she feels after the events there.

Far and Away

This story takes a look at the life of one of the Ranmaverse's most endearing characters, long before the mess in Nerima began.

Kurobara

This bit came about as a result of my work with Sunrise Chronicles. I was at work one day, just doing basic work and plotting out the Kunos-Ranma scene in "Burned and Broken' in my mind, when the idea of a "sane" Kodachi came to me. Our favorite psychotic gymnast doesn't exactly gain her sanity, but she gets close enough.

A Man I'll Never Be
Text-only version

This story is the shortest I have ever posted to RAAC - and the most painful. I wrote it in two hours, during a really depressing time in my life. To give you an idea, I was losing my scholarships, taking on the leadership of an organization that viewed my entrance with hostility, and for the first time was seriously doubting the direction my life was taking. Not really seeing any other healthy outlet for my anguish, I wrote.

Black Lemonade

This was a darkfic parody I wrote a little while back, and the more I think about it, the more I regret releasing it. I was angry at the number of "bad" darkfics that were being released on the ML, and used this as my retort.

Journeys

This little bit's just a simple look into Ranma and Akane's relationship, and what fuels them.

Clothes Make The...

(Co-authored with Ichinohei Hitomi and Katrina Lee Halbred)

IT'S DONE!!!!!!! This came about in response to the recent "Ranma acts like a girl" 'fics that had been coming out in late '96 - early '97. I had a problem with it as most of them attributed it to some aspect of the curse, usually the spirit of the girl who drowned in the spring. This was my reply, to show that a Ranma acting in this manner WITHOUT any such crutch was not only possible, but conceivable. All done, though not yet ready for the page; I'll be posting them up over the next couple of weeks.

Revelations

A short, intense side story giving a moment in Ranma's life.

Contagion

Contagion was an early attempt at comedy, and not one of my more successful stories. Ranma, Ryouga and Genma catch the flu. Problem is, once they change, so does the virus...It's still a fun read, but be warned: it is not my usual writing style.

The Home Front

This is a fanfic work based on Richard Lawson's excellent "Thy Inward Love" series of stories. A middle-aged Akane waits at home, where she is given a heartwrenching job... (Sorry if the link to Richard's page is gone; Richard's page is down at the moment)

Keiichi Revisited pt. 1: Hell

This "Ah! My Goddess" work was one of my earliest ideas in fanfic writing, and its four parts were outlined back when I was first writing "Sunrise" and "Contagion". Unfortunately, I never got around to writing the first part until summer 1996, and never posted it to RAAC until that Halloween. For a quick summary of the stories, Keiichi travels to other dimensions, where he sees what might have been...

A Real Fanfic Writer

Truth to tell, I'm not sure whether this should go into the "fanfic" section, the "leftover" section, or another section entirely. This is non-fiction, giving some of my thoughts on the past couple of years.
